Came across !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! referencing !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , when scrolling through my Google news feed. Everyone will have mixed experiences with brands for anything. I’ve driven 3 different Ford vehicles in my time with a license and none have had any major problems. None.

I can complain, sure, but nothing would be warranted. So I always want to know what people have issues with in the world of the blue oval.

The Blue Oval has suffered in recent years due to its problematic Sync infotainment system.

This is the world we live in.

I’m curious what the percentage breakdown of !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (this is nice but I like numbers) would be across all the manufacturers. I only am mildly concerned about my blutooth not working but I sure as Hell give a damn if the cruise control relay could short and cause my car to spontaneously burst into flames.

I'm with you 100%. I don't care if people don't like the functionality of their infotainment system, but I sure care if that system actually breaks. They should split the data so that someone can see the "true" reliability, versus issues that people just don't like. It took me a while to get used to the lock button being on the center stack of my LR3 instead of the door, but that didn't mean it wasn't "reliable" or "broken".

I’ve had three Fords ranging from a 1995 to a 2012. Of the three the 1995 one needed a transmission rebuild after 8 years. Nothing major on any other Ford.

My Pontiac has the door locks and window controls all in the center console.

Generally people only go online to complain, not talk about how their car works like it should. That’s why researching cars is so terrifying. I live in a ford family, our Ford windstar has some wierd ABS light issue but the car runs like a champ, our ford escape has been having some wierd parts breakage and the transmission hasn’t been shifting between reverse and drive with the speed it should have, but it is also working fine. My friend has a v6 r title mustang that has been totalled twice, has 200k on it and all it has needed is a clutch.

there isn’t a single manufacturer (outside of mabey lexus, they always get first in reliability) that has consistent reliability across models. Not even hondas anymore.

Exactly. While its uncommon, its not unheard of.

Only ford product I have owned is my current FieSTa. Sync? Not an issue. It crashed once, on the last version before current update and wouldn’t turn off, had to pull the fuse, other than that it always connects the phone and the voice control even works pretty well. I had an issue with the rear brake calipers sticking the first winter I owned it, the dealer claimed it was due to the State switching to brine, and wouldn’t replace under warranty, by I bought new pads and rotors and greased the sliders heavily when I put them back together and they haven’t been a problem since. I had the HVAC fan freeze once the first winter, which was covered under a TSB and it has not been a problem since either.. Overall, a very reliable car for the last 34k miles. Only my Hyundai was better (nothing but oil changes and performance mods in 50k miles)

True reliability is indeed hard to measure when you let consumers do the reporting.
